After nearly four decades operating in China, BP sees the country as an integral and important part of its global business strategy. With strong and continued growth in China, BP has been inspiring more local talent to deliver an excellent performance, with a view to taking on roles in their senior management team. To meet the steadily growing demand for talent, as well as to develop future China business leaders, BP has established pipelines for promising talent through its campus recruitment program. BP has additional activities for nurturing talent, including organizing and participating in diverse programs that support new graduates and promising youth in China.
At the end of 2010, BP Fujian succeeded in bidding against top local players and acquired assets from Quanzhou LPG Company, including 7 distribution centers within the city, along with operating rights. Through the acquisition, BP LPG business has officially obtained access to the LPG market in the most economically developed region of southern Fujian province, representing a major step in progressing BP's marketing plans within the province ... “Serving local communities, creating prosperity” is the principle that BP has always adhered to over the course of its nearly 40-year history in China. As part of its social outreach initiatives, BP’s volunteer program, which encourages employees to participate in activities for the benefit of the community, has witnessed numerous noteworthy achievements. Many BP volunteers, such as Li Xi, take leading roles in various philanthropic programs, spreading love and hope through sincerity, enthusiasm and persistence.
